Beginning Adult Cross Country Skiing
Description: Get out this winter and learn to cross-country ski! This class will cover all the basics of uphill and downhill travel on the tracks or touring in the backcountry. Information on equipment, clothing, waxing and where to ski will be provided to students before the first class session. Participants are responsible for supplying their own ski equipment. There are no specifications for equipment for the class; however, narrower skis without metal edges suited for groomed trails are preferred. Waxless or "fish-scale" skis are fine.

Dates: January 14th, January 21st, January 28th, and February 4th from 10am-noon | Tie City Trailhead Warming Hut
Fees: The fee is $50.00 for MBNA members ($65.00 for non-members) for a 4-class session. This does not include parking fee or equipment rentals. Payment is due at the time of registration. At least 4 people must be registered for the class to meet, and class size is limited to 16 people.

Description: Pick up your pace with this great Nordic skiing technique. Take this class if you have mastered the trails but want to go faster. Learn basic V1, V2 and V2 alternate strides. Participants should have Nordic skiing experience, but need not have skated or raced. Information on equipment, clothing, waxing and where to ski will be provided to students before the first class. Skate equipment is strongly recommended for this class.

Master's Race Training
Description: The Master’s Race Training Class is for more experienced skiers interested in racing. Participants must be able to ski at least 5 kilometers without stopping and be able to perform the various techniques in skate (V1, V2, V2A) and classic (diagonal stride, double pole, kick double pole) skiing. Participants must have both skate and classic gear. Classic gear should consist of either waxable skis or performance on-track waxless (skin or fish scale) skis. Wide metal-edged touring skis are not acceptable. The class will consist of two 90-minute sessions per week for a total of eight weeks. Each week, one session will focus on ski technique and race strategy, and the other will consist of interval training. This class is limited to eight people.

Dates: Sessions will be held on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 4:00 – 5:30 pm at the Tie City Trailhead. The first class will be held Tuesday January 9th and the last class will be February 29th | Tie City Trailhead Warming Hut
Fees: Cost will be $272 for the 8-week session and is due before the start of the class

Description: Don't want to be in a group? Don't have time for a class series? Private or semi-private lessons would be perfect for you! Taught by Judi Hulme, these high-quality classes will be tailored to you and your small groups needs. Judi enjoys teaching skiers of any ability level in either skate or classic skiing. Whether you have never been on skis before or are getting into ski racing and looking for help with race training and strategy, Judi can help.

Dates: Unfortunately, Judi will not be able to teach any lessons for the remainder of the season. Please stay tuned for next season!
Fees: Cost will be $45 per hour for individuals and $65 per hour for semi-private. If your group is three or more, please contact Judi for cost.
