- direct racers and spectators to the registration and start areas,
- register racers and hand out bibs,
- record times and bib numbers at the finish,

If you would like to help out, please email George Jones at jonesgp@vcn.com, by January 10th.

Race Details:
Racers can ski a 5-km or 10-km course, classic or skate.  The courses probably will be the same as in the past several years.  Maps will be available soon.

The is a low-key race open to skiers of all ages and ability levels.  There is no entry fee, but donations to MBNA will be welcome.

The parking lot will be crowded from early morning through noon, as will the start/finish area in the Lower Meadow.  The warming hut will be packed early in the morning.  The race courses will include all of the trails except Campground, Gobi's, and Summit.  All of the trails will be open to non-racers during the race; if you ski then, please watch and listen for racers, move to the side of the trail so that they can pass, and cheer them on.

This will be a good day to wait until afternoon to ski with your dog.  If you bring your dog up during the race, please keep it on a leash or under close voice command.  Remember that USFS regulations require that dogs be leashed in Campground Loop, at the Tie City trailhead, and in the parking lot.
